In collaboration with Cafe Agency and Enter Gallery, we celebrated the opening night of Jessica van der Weert’s exhibition “Fatboy Slim – 10 years photographing a legend”

We loved combining the fly on the wall style with spontaneous interviews to capture the energy of an evening that surpassed all expectations. Even with a spontaneous event, planning was critical, ensuring we captured everything the client wanted in this unique opportunity.

Significantly, even a couple of hours of filming has enabled Jessica to release months’ worth of social media videos that tell the full story of the relationship between herself and Fatboy Slim.

Production Assistant

This is an entry level role for someone who loves to film and is creative, whilst being totally service focused.

Responsibilities:

Pre production admin – release forms, risk assessments, sourcing venues, talent.
Scheduling – organising filming days, editing schedules and completing call sheets
Travel and Kit expenses – organising travel arrangements and kit hire, ensuring all project costs are estimated and allocated accurately
Runner – organising lunch, monitoring schedules
Post production admin – monitoring editing schedules, liaising with clients, collaborating with delivery team
Cost effectively sourcing suppliers
Loads of ad hoc duties

Skills Required:

Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Detail oriented with spreadsheets and documentations
Accountable and uses initiative
Confident, both written and verbally
An enthusiastic, ‘can do’ attitude
Proficient with Google Workspace

Camera Operator

Are you outrageously good at lighting a film set to create the perfect backdrop for an interviewee? Have you explored new ways to create slick, professional films? Do you possess strong director skills so that you can get the best out of the subject being filmed?

Check out these competencies below and apply if you think you can excel in this role:

Responsibilities:

Draws on a minimum of 2 years commercial/corporate filming experience to create beautiful footage. Experience to include lighting techniques, camera movement, technical camera settings and audio
Meticulous planning skills to ensure the filming day runs smoothly, deciding on what camera, lighting, background, and audio equipment should meet filming brief
Works tirelessly to transport kit nationwide and abroad and has excellent time management skill to ensure filming schedules are met with our clients
Proactively manages the audio and lighting setups, the equipment on set including pre planning for batteries, media storage and miscellaneous.
Confident at lighting a film set to create the perfect backdrop for multiple scenarios including talking heads, studio, and outdoor shoots
Contributes to the vision of the set and knows the latest filming techniques to achieve extraordinary footage
Casts a critical eye on footage and researches ways to improve approach
Interpersonally confident and able to lead some projects and be the main point of contact or closely liaise with the client
Manages all media ingesting (including labelling) and takes full responsibility for footage management and backing up

Behaviours:

Demonstrates a can-do attitude and problem-solving skills under pressure
Meticulous, client focused and pro-active
Knowledge of NLE software and prior use of FCPx + Premiere Pro

Are you a talented Video Editor who can combine creative story-telling with strong marketing messaging? Do you produce slick, professional videos that surpass all expectations? Do you enjoy working with clients to produce the best you’ve got?

Technical Skills Required:

Strong editing skills, with Final Cut Pro/Premiere Pro in Mac OSX.
Proficient in Adobe After Effects.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator an advantage.
Knowledge of 3d animation an advantage.
Experienced in creating motion graphics and 2D animations.
Possesses a strong eye for detailed correcting and grading of footage.
Possesses a tuned ear for audio corrections and matching soundtracks.
Excellent organisation skills for managing secure media libraries.
Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
Strong client communication skills.
